A few core rules, then the practical details.
- Topical only never take by mouth. HairlessHype is a skin cream, not an oral medication. Keep it out of your mouth, nose, and eyes. If it gets into your eyes by accident, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Wash your hands before and after application. Both for hygiene and to prevent transferring the medication to areas you don't intend to treat.
- Apply at least 5 minutes after hair removal. If you've just shaved, waxed, threaded, or otherwise removed hair from the treatment area, wait a few minutes before applying HairlessHype. Applying immediately after hair removal can cause irritation on freshly disturbed skin.
- Apply a thin layer to the affected area, and rub it in gently. You don't need a thick coat — a thin, even layer rubbed into the skin is more effective than a heavy application. Most women treat the chin, upper lip, jawline, and sometimes sideburn areas.
- Do not wash the treated area for at least 4 hours after application. This gives the medication time to absorb properly. Plan your application schedule around your shower and cleansing routine — many women apply HairlessHype in the morning after their shower, or at night well before bed.
- Application frequency. HairlessHype is typically applied twice daily — though your clinician will give you the specific protocol for your case.
- What to do if you miss a dose. If you miss an application, apply the cream as soon as you remember, then continue with your regular schedule. Don't double up — applying more cream at the next dose won't speed up results, but can increase the chance of skin irritation.
If your skin gets irritated, dry, or red in the first few weeks, this is common as the skin adjusts. Most irritation resolves on its own. If it persists or worsens, message your Oana clinician — dose adjustments or temporary breaks from application are options.
